Членуване в английски език (Using Articles).

Счита се, че в английски език има два члена

• - неопределителен член (a/an)
• - определителен член (the),

но се оказва, че членовете са повече, както ще се уверите от долната таблица. По принцип, английското членуване (Using Articles) е признак на съществителното и се прави непосредствено пред съществителното или пред определящото го прилагателно.

Значение	Обозначава един предмет, някакъв, един от много предмети, не е важно кой именно. Не се използва пред съществителни в множествено число.		Обозначава напълно специфичен и конкретен предмет или лице - ето този, именно тоз, същите, онези там... Използва се пред съществителни в множествено число.		Обозначава отсъствие / липса на съществително в единствено или в множествено число.	Отсъствие на членуване - прилага се за множествени, неизброими и масови съществителни.

Употреба	- За единствен по рода си предмет; - За единствен предмет в дадена обстановка; - За споменат по-рано предмет или лице; - Пред бройно числително пред съществително; - Пред прилагателно в превъзходна степен пред съществително; - За определено количество вещество; - Пред названия и наименования; - Пред съществително за цял клас предмети; - Пред изразите: one of, some of, many of, each of, most of, both of; - Пред 4-те страни на света; - Пред фамилии в множествено число.		- При първоначално споменаване за нещо; - При обобщение; - При неопределено количество от нещо; - Пред професии и длъжности; - В значение на "един" пред час; - Пред изчисляеми съществителни в единствено число; - Пред думи, като: such, quite, rather, most; - При принадлежност на предмет към клас еднородни предмети.		Отрича съществител- ното, което определя, като по този начин се явява нито определителен, нито неопределителен член. Някои автори приемат "no" по-скоро за определител, отколкото за вид членуване. Използва се както в единствено, така и в множествено число.	- Пред изчисляеми съществителни в множествено число, ако в единствено ползват неопредели- телен член; - При обобщение чрез множествено число или неизчисляемо съществително; - Пред собствено съществително в притежателен падеж; - Пред съществителни във функция на определения; - Пред неизчисляеми съществителни - water, milk, sugar, tea, snow, wool, meat; - Пред съществително с предлог, изпълняващо функция на наречие - in time; by car, bus, bicycle, plane, train, metro, boat etc.; - Пред имена и фамилии на хора; - При наличието на други определители; - Пред абстрактни съществителни - weather, music, knowledge, art, love, life, time - Пред понятия за семейство, дом, училище, спорт, болести - home, school, church, college, mother, father, aunt, ancle, sister, brother, cousin, grandmother, grandfather, breakfast, lunch, dinner, football, basketball, hockey, baseball, flu, angina, pneumonia, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving - Ако става дума за всички представители на дадена група.
